The Cuttyhunk Corner Store has been part of life on Cuttyhunk Island, Massachusetts since 1991.

 

For over three decades it has been our joy to welcome islanders, summer families, boaters, fishermen, and day-trippers through our door.

 

Our shop offers gifts, apparel, and keepsakes that celebrate the island we love: nautical chart totes, trays, and blankets, striped bass burgees and decals, Comfort Colors tees, caps, keychains, holiday ornaments, and more. Every item is chosen or designed to capture a piece of Cuttyhunk, so you can bring the island home with you, wherever home may be.

 

About Cuttyhunk Island

 

Cuttyhunk is the westernmost of the Elizabeth Islands, a chain of small islands stretching southwest from Cape Cod between Buzzards Bay and Vineyard Sound. It is part of the Town of Gosnold in Dukes County, Massachusetts, and it is reached by ferry from New Bedford or by private boat.

 

The island’s history goes back to 1602, when English explorer Bartholomew Gosnold landed here, one of the earliest recorded English landings in New England. A stone monument on the island still marks the spot. In the 1800s, Cuttyhunk became famous for striped bass fishing, and anglers have been casting off its rocky shores ever since.

 

An Island That Stays the Same

 

What makes Cuttyhunk special is how little it has changed. There are no chain stores, no traffic lights, and no rush. Golf carts outnumber cars, and neighbors still gather at the dock to wave goodbye as the ferry pulls away. The harbor, the views from the hilltops, and the slow, friendly pace of island life feel much the same today as they did when our store first opened its doors in 1991.

 

That timelessness is what we celebrate at the Cuttyhunk Corner Store. It’s why people come back summer after summer, and why we’re so proud to share a little piece of it with you.
